Today’s newspaper contained an article that set my heart rejoicing! There is finally something in our country that has forged a common bond betwixt myself and members of the democrat party.

The article I refer to is in the 9/24 edition of the Orange County Register. In this article, written by Brian Joseph, one finds out that multiple democrat politicians- Dianne Feinstein, Loretta Sanchez, Jose Solorio, Susan Davis, Beth Krom and multiple other democrats- were defrauded of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars.  A Ms. Kinde Durkee, a campaign treasurer for the democrat party, has been accused by the federal government of mail fraud and was recently arrested by the FBI on these charges. http://articles.ocregister.com/2011-09-03/news/30117033_1_fbi-arrests-campaign-treasurer-kinde-durkee  Ms. Durkee was entrusted with reportedly millions of campaign fund dollars by these and other politicians.

In her lawsuit, Ms. Feinstein alleges that Ms. Durkee and her co-defendants  ”stole millions of dollars” from Feinstein and others over a two-year period.  Apparently, Ms. Feinstein feels that the First California Bank and the other defendants, an institution and people who were entrusted with the safekeeping of millions of campaign dollars, betrayed that trust!  It seems that Ms. Feinstein and others of the democrat party are truly aggrieved that the money they were counting on for their political needs is no longer available. (please shed tears of empathy for these unfortunate souls!)

And how, pray tell, does this dire misfortune that has befallen these champions of the people, these public-spirited civil servants tie in with the ol’ Doc?

Well, for the past 48 years I’ve been working. Started out mowing lawns for neighbors; worked for the old Santa Ana Register (that is now the Orange County Register), tossing papers every morning 8 days a week; worked in a nursery and did landscaping installation while in high school and college; worked in a local hospital, St. Jude Hospital, as a file clerk, a transport orderly and EKG tech to pay my way through Loyola University. Then, worked my way through med school with the help of my then-wife.  Today, I work as a Family Physician and have been for the past 30 years.

During all of this time, my bosses were collecting my Social Security(and Medicare when it grabbed hold of the American public by the throat).  As I recall, Social Security(SS) had been started as a trust fund that would always remain solvent, intended to be a “safety-net” for the elderly if they should fall on hard times.  The public was told that their payments into the system would never go above 3% of their paychecks, back in 1949.  SS was not envisioned-by the general public- to include payments to families and dependents long after the individual had died. However, I’m quite sure the “progressives” of that time had many plans and uses contemplated for SS, which have been implemented over the years.

Getting back to this new “connect” between the democrat party and me….now the dems know how the rest of us Americans are feeling about our “Social Security”.

For the past 75 years, the American people have been told that their money is safe in the “trust” fund. We’ve been told that SS is “solvent” and that it will always “be there”.  Whenever anyone raised a cry that the fund wasn’t taking in enough to match the pay-outs, they were told to shut up, to avoid the “third rail”.

Well, here we are, the fund is now propped-up by IOU’s and by the Chinese buying our bonds. The fund has been bled dry by the politicians as they continue to make promises they won’t have to keep because they’ll be long gone after making their millions in DC cutting deals and soaking the taxpayers.

The only problem we Americans have is that we can’t sue the federal government for the fraud that they have perpetrated on us, as Ms. Feinstein and her democrat friends have the option to do.  In fact, the mail fraud as perpetrated by Ms. Durkee pales in comparison to the fraud that is perpetrated by Ms Feinstein, her democrat allies and many like-minded “rino” republicans. The fraud perpetrated by the federal government is a Ponzi scheme covered up by the noble term “social security trust fund”.  As a matter of fact, there is a BIG difference between the Ponzi scheme offered by Bernie Madoff and that of the federal government.

The Ponzi scheme is a voluntary commitment of funds made by investors/suckers; the “social security” Ponzi scheme is a matter of forced extortion of the money from the citizens of this country, enacted by a “benevolent” Congress.

So, my heart goes out to Di and her democrat allies as they shuffle through the federal courts, trying to regain the funds that were stolen from them by their democrat operative.

My question is- where do the American people go to get back the money that’s been taken from them by the federal Ponzi scheme?

BhO has succeeded way beyond what he and his fellow travellers might have hoped for.

The takeover of the American auto industry, a takeover not intended to save jobs but, rather, to save the unions from the implosion they had created for Chrysler and GM.  Take a look at Ford; that company is doing very nicely, thank you.

The attempted takeover of an industry that is about 1/6 of the entire U.S. economy. Obamacare, developed years ago by America’s leading marxist/communist/socialists; first attempted at passage during William Jefferson Clinton’s term despoiling the White House and pushed by his wife, (Vice-President )Hillary Clinton, and rapidly resurrected when the democrat party took over Congress in 2006-2007.  As you might recall, no one really knew what was in the bill that is the abortion known as obamacare. The appointment of Kevin Jennings by the Department of Education, an openly radical gay who is instrumental in forcing schools across the country to indoctrinate our children on the gay, lesbian, transsexual, man-boy lifestyle as a normal part of life. There is a powerful gay agenda being forced upon the American people by the liberal “progressives”.  Has it come to your town yet?

The overt assault by the Department of Justice on the Second Amendment along with the efforts of Hillary Clinton, the Secretary of State, to have the United Nations Gun Ban Treaty passed in this country.  This treaty would lead to a stripping of every Americans’ Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.  This would be an international assault on our Constitution and on every Americans’ freedoms.

Even more heinous is the recent Operation Fast and Furious, a program that came FROM THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT (read Eric Holder) that tried to show that American gun shop owners were selling illegal weapons illegally to Mexican nationals or their intermediaries, and that these guns were being used to kill Mexican citizens, primarily by the drug cartels.  Well, as it turned out, a few of these weapons were used in the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.  Oops, egg-on-face. There has been a cover-up by the BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives).  The Congress is investigating this, and BATFE continues to stonewall.  This travesty against law-abiding Americans starts at the very top- Barack hussein Obama.

The national debt.  In just less than three years BhO and his fellow travellers have quadrupled the national debt and have recently increased the debt to over 17  TRILLION DOLLARS- $17,000,000,000,000. 00.  Hey, what’s a few trillion amongst friends?  Besides, we don’t have to worry about it; our kids, grandchildren and great,great,great-grandkids can sweat it.

The national defense. BhO and his fellow travellers want to neuter our military by cutting the budget by up to 20% or more. Of course, Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, Dept. of Education, Dept of Energy, etc., etc, will not be touched or barely scratched as the “progressives” seek to continue the neutering/neutralizing of America.  Do note that China is INCREASING THE SIZE OF ITS NAVY, and owns a huge portion of the bonds that America has distributed to pay for Obama’s/”progressives” follies. China spends a huge portion of its GDP on continuous upgrading and enlarging of its military forces.

Finally, BhO has trashed our strongest, best ally in the Middle East, Israel.  He has turned a blind eye to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, of which we will hear more about in the news soon. Iran has stated that it wants to destroy Israel, to wipe it from the map.  That’s pretty peaceful-sounding rhetoric, eh?  The entire Mid-East is being transformed into a muslim caliphate and  America will rue the day this was allowed to happen;  BhO is the “leader” allowing this to happen.

So, Folks, just more good news in this era of “hope and change”.  Those of you who bought into this fraud, well, I’m hoping that you are smart enough to see just how big this fraud is turning out to be.  Some people have described BhO as Jimmy Carter’s second term. I disagree, as BhO has created more devastation to the American economy, to American exceptionalism, to the American spirit than any other person in the history of the Oval Office.  He is truly a straw-man, stuffed with fraudulent ideas, stuffed with anger and hatred toward America and all that is good about this country. Just read his books. In fact, if the media had spoken out about his books, and delved as deeply into BhO’s background as much as they had rummaged through Sara Palin’s trash, the media would have found the empty shell that is Barak hussein Obama.

The media would have found William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Jeremiah Wright, Van Jones, Cass Sunstein and George Soros as major players behind the straw man, stuffing him with the BS that he is dumping on America today.

So, when election time rolls around, let your voices be heard, make your vote count. Think about the riots in England, riots that are a DIRECT RESULT OF LIBERAL/”PROGRESSIVE IDEOLOGY AND ITS APPLICATION over the past 60 years.

82 dead people in Norway at the hands of another single whacko with a gun.  The sad part of all of this is that so many folks lost  their lives at the hands of a sick individual who most likely got his hands on his weapons legally.  Then again, as in many, many criminal acts, this joker may have acquired his weapons illegally, not giving a rat’s-ass about the laws of Norway or the United Nations’ Arms Trade Treaty  (ATT). Norway has very restrictivegun control laws on the books.

Now, let’s look at this from another perspective.  Let’s say that  1 or 2 people around him at some moment had also been armed, had concealed carry permits. Imagine that these individuals had the opportunity to fire on this whackjob as he started his murderous, cold-blooded rampage. Wouldn’t that have been nice for those 82 people to know that they might have had a chance, if……

Now, we are sure to hear from the anti-gun franchise that more, ever more gun-control is needed to protect the innocent, the children, the helpless…..yada, yada, yada….

NO!!!  What the people of Norway and the rest of the countries who have surrendered their rights to own and carry a weapon need to do is DEMAND THAT THEIR GOVERNMENTS RESCIND THE ATT  and that the people be allowed their right to carry weapons on their persons. 

We keep seeing defenseless civilians murdered by criminals who have nothing to stop them when they choose to start a slaughter.  What do we hear after these media events?

We hear the Brady Center Crying for more gun control.  We hear the Mayor of NewYork making idiot statements about protecting the innocent by taking away the very rights the innocent have under our Constitution to carry a weapon for self-defense.  Michael Bloomberg travels everywhere with armed bodyguards, as does the mayor of  Chicago, Richard Daly, another rabid anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment zealot.

So, how many more victims do we need to convince these statists that the people have the unalienable right to protect themselves, to carry a weapon if they meet the laws of their states and counties?  Do we really need another Virginia Tech?   Maybe another Gabriella Giffords situation?  How much longer are the anti-gun zealots, the  “protectors” of the victims in these shootings, going to attack the Constitutional right of American citizens to carry a weapon?  In fact, how much longer are the citizens of the world going to be denied their right to carry weapons?

Just ask the Chinese, the Russians, the Brits and other citizens whose governments have stripped them of the right to protect themselves.  In fact, in any totalitarian country, you will see the most extreme of gun control laws, laws that neuter the population, that guarantee the slavery of those people.  Read about the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, Cuba, North Korea, ANY TOTALITARIAN STATE WORTH ITS SALT HAS EXTREME GUN CONTROL LAWS ON THE BOOKS.

Take a look at the present administration of Barack hussein Obama. BhO has surrounded himself with gun control zealots, with Eric Holder heading the list. Eric has even gone to the trouble of trying to create a crisis by making it look like legal gunshops along the Mexican border have been selling military style weapons illegally to drug dealers!  Wow, what a guy!

The only problem is, these guns were allowed to be  sold by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) in an operation called “Fast and Furious”.  In fact, these guns were later used in multiple crimes that included the murder of a United States Border Patrolman, Brian Terry, with a weapon that was allowed to be sold by the BATFE to known criminal elements.  

Folks, we have a government that is out of control. It is being run by a marxist and his fellow travellers, seeking to destroy our Constitution.  Taking out the Second Amendment is a major step toward enslaving all of us by emasculating the Constitution. Your Freedom of Speech has already been compromised.

So, When you start hearing the siren song of gun control from the Brady Bunch, Michael Bloomberg and others, cover your ears, lalalalalala, and let your legislators know that your guns are a part of the contract of freedom with the US government, protected and guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States, not to be tampered with by the United Nations and its enslaving ATT.

The next 3 stories are about “Operation Fast and Furious” (OFF), a program that was sanctioned by Eric Holder (and his boss, Barack hussein Obama).

Hillary Clinton is working with the United Nations to force America into an international gun control treaty. What she is attempting is completely contrary to the Constitution of the United States.

The third piece of news is the trashing of Israel by the Obama administration.

The tearing down of the one legitimate democracy in the Middle East is intentional and fraught with danger for America and the world in general. Iran has made it perfectly clear that Israel needs to be wiped from the map.

Freedom’s a very fragile item.

When your school teachers are cheating the children they are supposed to be helping; when the government is seeking to destroy the rights of its people and the Constitution that sets forth those rights; and when the government is actively seeking to destroy one of our most important allies, then we Americans need to step up to that government and demand an accounting.

I’m listening to a guy named Lanny Davis, a”progressive” liberal, one of Bill Clinton’s White House lawyers. Lanny is telling Americans that we really shouldn’t be so worked-up about the groping techniques of the TSA, that fun, federal organization that is essentially the strong-arm of the government at our airports.

Lanny isn’t bothered by this overt assault on the Fourth Amendment freedoms of Americans. Lanny would rather be “safe” and “secure”, would rather surrender his individual rights, in order to be “saved” from the threat of terrorism.  This guy is typical of the “progressive” mindset that is eating away at our Constitutional rights as surely as acid eats away your skin.

FREEDOMS LOST ARE HARD TO REGAIN.

Somewhere in my distant past, while in high school, I remember reading about the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.  Somewhere in the vast wasteland of dead and dying neurons  that is my brain, I remembered something about searches and seizures, the need for warrants, probable cause.  So, in a burst of fear as to where my freedoms were being taken, I checked out that venerable document, and this came up-

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

That, my Friends, is the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, a country I think still exists, but may be becoming one of those shimmering scenes one sees on a hot desert highway, a mirage of the country we once were.

A few days ago, an individual had the brashness to tell a TSA screener at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field that the screener better not touch “my junk” or he would file sexual assault charges. For his protestations, he was taken out of the airport, essentially by force, missing his flight.  I’m certain that the federal government will not be reimbursing this young man for his ticket.

Something very, very ugly is happening in our country.  We Americans have gradually, ever so quietly, surrendered our freedoms in order to be “safe”, as safe as a frog is in a pot of water in which the fire is slowly increased until the frog boils to death, all the while thinking it’s safe in the water.

Rather then dealing with the real issue, the real problem, we Americans are paying the price for terrorism as we slowly surrender the freedoms that were gained for us as a nation at great sacrifice and bloodshed.

Rather then screening passenger by the use of profiling, our out-of-control government is forcing us to submit ourselves to unreasonable searches WITHOUT  WARRANTS OR REASONABLE CAUSE.  We are forced to go through multiple screenings, forced to surrender common articles of use, in order to board an airplane.  Little children are treated as possible criminals and patted down. We have become the target of the federal government, as well as the terrorists.

Folks, you’ve read my comments about our freedoms in the past.  Maybe the young man at Lindbergh Field has sounded a trumpet call that is resonating throughout the country, a call that is finally awakening all of us to the true threat to our freedoms as Americans. That threat is our FEAR that is weakening us, allowing us to surrender, as a whimpering nation of pussies, the freedoms that our forefathers earned for us through their blood, their sweat and their lives.

So, what are we going to do as a nation? My suggestion is that we all stop flying for a while. Next, call your legislators and DEMAND that the TSA and Janet Napolitano be reined-in, consider firing Napolitano and putting a competent individual in charge.  DEMAND that profiling be done, as the Israelis have been doing for decades.  It works. Then, when a terrorist is captured, he is turned over to a military tribunal for swift, decisive justice.

Our freedoms are on the line. How much more are we, as an ostensibly “free” people, going to accept of this overt erosion of our personal and national freedoms?  It’s time to fight back, time to get rational about how we are being trashed by the terrorists and our government.

Folks, it’s time that we tell the federal government to stop groping “our junk”, our freedoms.

Did you folks notice the recent California Supreme Court decision that it’s “OK” for ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT kids to go to California’s universities at the tuition fees of an in-state resident?  How’s that for some Alice in Wonderland thinking by those who are sworn to uphold the Constitution?

Now, maybe I’m a little confused here.  I went to my dictionary to look up the word “illegal”, thinking that maybe I had missed some subtle nuance as regards the word.  According to Funk and Wagnalls standard Desk Dictionary, illegal is an adjective meaning “Not legal; contrary to law. Violating official rules.”

So, then I went to the Webster’s New World College Dictionary.  “Prohibited by law; against the law; unlawful; illicit; also, not authorized or sanctioned, as by rules.”

So, unless there’s a whole new definition of the word “law”, we have a real problem here.

Back to Webster’s.  “Law” is defined as “all the rules of conduct established and enforcedby the authority, legislation, or customs of a given community, state or other group (ie, a country)”.  There’s a lot more to the definition; I suggest you readers look it up.

What we have in California and throughout the United States is  judicial anarchy.  What is happening now is legislation by judicial fiat. The ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, be they Mexican, Vietnamese, Indian, Russian, whatever nationality, are in our country ILLEGALLY.  Not much to define here.

“Progressives” argue that the illegal children of the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT PARENTS should not be penalized for their parents transgressions. No, we are such a kind, rich and benevolent country that we should ignore the laws of the land and allow these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS  to obtain an education at the expense of the American citizens living in the state of California.  Is it any wonder that California has a deficit that is going north of 25 BILLION DOLLARS this year?  Is it any wonder that hospitals in California have had to close because they went into hideous debt that couldn’t be recovered for the care of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS?  How about the public schools in California, the schools that are graduating ever lower numbers of students due to the swamping of the public schools by the ILLEGAL CHILDREN  of  ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS?

Yeah, I’ll bet some of you are wondering about this heartless doctor, a man of healing, pointing out the sham that is illegal immigration.  The laws are in place to be enforced. Unfortunately, we do not have political leaders with the courage or cajones to enforce the existing laws.  Why, here in California, the mind-numbed citizens elected a stray Moonbeam, Jerry Brown, for governor,   and elected Gavin Newsom as his lt. governor. Whoa, marijuana must already be legal in California!  Either that, or the people of California are clueless. As another writer recently stated, California is the Lindsay Lohan of states.

So, we have the California Supreme Court, a court staffed with supposedly learned and esteemed personages parading as legal scholars, prostituting themselves in order to be politically correct. These justices are flying in the face of state and federal law.  What begins to happen to a state, a country, that does not uphold its laws to protect its citizens?

Well, a few things can happen.  The voters can work the political aspect.  Then again, aren’t the justices supposed to be apolitical?

Then, civil unrest might be advocated. Whoa, that means that conservatives would now be the “radicals”.  Now, when I was growing up, the radicals were the whack jobs in the SDS, the dopeheads at Berkeley running around trashing the university, disrupting classes, leaving a mess behind them. Those radicals who trashed Chicago at the 1968 democrat party convention.  These were the kind of people you could work with, Saul Alinsky radicals.  As I recall, if one was a conservative, he or she was a reactionary!  So, we now have a juxtaposition, the whackos of the radical left are the “reactionaries” and those of us who are conservative are the “radicals”.

Folks, when people are subjected to judicial tyranny, the judges are responsible for creating chaos because they DO NOT UPHOLD THE LAW, they create it. This is a  justification for civil unrest, because the judges have forsaken their role as unbiased arbiters of the laws, applying the laws equally to Americans, and upholding those laws that define the treatment of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.  The justices of the California Supreme Court have usurped the trust of the citizens of California, and they should be removed from their positions.

It’s pretty impressive watching the judicial system bending over backwards to give the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS rights that they do not have. Yet, we Americans are daily surrendering the freedoms we have, as evidenced by the recent harassment of travellers by the federal government at our nation’s airports. That’s another blog.

Start making noise, Folks.  It’s now proven what can happen when Americans wake up and realize they’re being fleeced.  The Tea Party has proven itself in the recent elections. We need to keep the pressure on, we need to regain the freedoms that have been stolen from us with our eyes wide open. We need to reclaim our borders, and enforce the laws that are on the books.  And we need to stop giving our treasure to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and their ILLEGAL CHILDREN.

I’m sure most of you have read about the recent activities of the looney-tune members of the city council in San Francisco, you know, Sodom and Gomorrah by-the-bay?  Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to insult the cartoon characters made famous by the  Warner Bros.’  Looney-Tune cartoons!

I’m talking about the brave nanny/tyrants (n/t) who voted to outlaw the toys given out by McDonalds and other restaurants with their meals.  In the case of McDonalds, their Happy Meals.

Now, this decision by the looneys on the council was based on groundless assertions by the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) that the toys given out with the Happy Meals promote childhood obesity and poor health.  Can you spell B— S—?!?

This tripe put forth by CSPI and the ‘Frisco city council would be as laughable as a Looney-Tunes cartoon except for the fact that THERE IS NO PROOF THAT THE HAPPY MEALS DO ANYTHING BUT GIVE PLEASURE TO THE KIDS!  The reason that the kids are fat is that the parents of these children are feeding them huge amounts of food.  The real culprits are THE PARENTS and those who take these kids out and allow the kids to eat more they they should!  McDonalds has been slapped up-side-the-head for doing what it does best- selling food.

What most Americans are beginning to realize is that governments, starting from the local level and moving into the county, state and federal levels, are seizing more and more power at the expense of personal freedoms. Petty people such as the n/t’s  of San Fran are ignoring the Constitution and are inserting their ideas as to what is good or bad for us as individuals.

The biggest and most glaring example of government’s attack on personal freedom has been the all-out-war on smokers and the tobacco industry.  Tobacco is a LEGALLY GROWN, PROCESSED AND DISTRIBUTED PRODUCT.  In fact, one could say that the tobacco industry played a key role in helping America win World War II.  Have most of you noted the ubiquitous cigarette in the fingers of the soldiers, or hanging from their exhausted lips after a long combat mission?

Another major positive point for tobacco is the trillions of dollars that tobacco consumption has brought to our state and federal coffers.  What has been fun to watch is the drop in revenues to the state and federal coffers as there has been a drop in the smoking population.  Guess what will happen next?  You bet, your taxes will go up to cover that lost revenue.  Ah, but I diverge….

You all know about incandescent light bulbs?  Thanks to Babs Boxer and our federal government, the perfectly marvelous incandescent light bulb has been branded as an ecological hand-grenade!  They will be banned by 2014, so you had best start stocking-up on them. That is, unless the ban is broken by the new Congress.

So, what will all of you do when the CSPI decides that caffeine is not in your best interests?  Hey, Starbucks and Seattle’s Best, what will YOU DO WHEN THE FOOD NAZIS DECIDE TO TURN THEIR GUNS ON YOU FOR A SHAKEDOWN?  Say,  San Francisco n/t’s, why haven’t you declared caffeine as a dangerous substance?  That would allow you looneys to go after Monster and Red Bull, too!  Think of the millions of dollars in shake-down you could make off  those companies!!!

So, Folks, I wrote a letter to the CEO of McDonalds, a gentleman by the name of Jim Skinner. He has already stood-up against the looney-tunes at CSPI.  I’m sure the CSPI had a part to play in the San Francisco councils’ decision to attack McDonalds.  Make no mistake about it, this is an attack against a great corporation that has done humungous amounts of philanthropy, only to be kicked in the teeth by a city council that revels in its petty power.

I’ve included my letter to Mr. Skinner, and invite all of you to write him and encourage him to take the city of San Francisco to court, to the Supreme Court of the United States if need be, because this is not just an attack against McDonalds.  This is an attack against every American’s freedom to choose.  This is another attack against the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.

One final note.  Boycott the city of San Francisco. Boycott the nanny/tyrants who will not stop at attacking McDonalds.  Once they think they can bring a huge corporation to its knees, they’ll start coming after you and me.  This is a city that believes in flouting the law.  It’s a “sanctuary city”, remember?

Dear Mr. Skinner,
I want to encourage you and the McDonalds Corp. to file suit with the city of San Francisco. The city is attacking your company’s right to do business.
There is NO SUPPORTING DATA that shows your sales of toys with the Happy Meals promotes obesity or ill health.
This is un-Constitutional, Mr. Skinner.  The “progressives” on the looney-tune city council of San Francisco need to be reminded that there is a Constitution of the United States, and THEY ARE BOUND BY IT.  This capricious assault on your company by these nanny/tyrants needs to be checked.
McDonalds has the financial and legal wherewithal to challenge this tyranical policy by the SF city council. McDonalds WOULD WIN. You also have the support of the majority of Americans, as evidenced by McDonalds’ success.
Please “man-up” Mr Skinner, and take the nannies to task; show some corporate “cajones” and smack these people up-side-the-head with the Constitution.
I am going to advocate a boycott of the city of San Francisco to my family, friends and fellow bloggers.

Have you folks out there been watching the news as regards the Bush tax cuts that may be ending on December 31?  You know, the tax cuts that led to about seven million new jobs over six years?

To listen to the democrats in Washington, along with the liberal, Soros-controlled media, you would think that Barack hussein Obama can save the US economy by allowing the cuts to expire, which he thinks will lead to an increase in revenues to the government.

Well, that’s what he was saying BEFORE the election tsunami whacked him up-side the head.

Now, BhO and his friends are saying that “the rich” should pay their “fair share”, that the Bush cuts should be allowed to lapse for “the rich”.

Let’s understand something here.  The democrats consider these tax cuts as anathema, that the cuts are “taking money away from the government”.

Well, those cuts brought billions more dollars into the federal trough then the government would have collected with higher taxes.

What everyone needs to realize is that the democrats have re-defined “the rich” as anyone making $250,000.00 or more a year.  Guess who will be hammered by the new TAX HIKE  that will occur if the Bush cuts are allowed to expire?

Why, just about EVERY SMALL BUSINESS IN AMERICA WILL BE AFFECTED NEGATIVELY BY THIS TAX HIKE.

What is the major economic engine that drives the American economy?

IT IS THE SMALL BUSINESSES ACROSS AMERICA THAT DRIVES OUR ECONOMY, the small businesses that create the jobs that offer most people health insurance and the money to make their lives better and better.

Barack hussein Obama is intentionally and deviously working to destroy the middle class by the power of taxation and the use of class warfare.

This man is not in the office to unite this country.  BhO is purposefully working, very hard, to dissect the American economy.

Class warfare has always been a tool of the democrat party. Now, however, it is being promoted even more forcefully because the democrat party is composed of “progressives”, another fancy name for the same old crowd that’s been promoting class warfare for nearly one hundred years-communists, marxists and far-left liberals.

And the one man out there who is manipulating all of this is a guy named George Soros.

Check out George Soros when you have a free hour or two.  What you find out about this guy should scare the crap out of you, because he is seeking to destroy the Republic that is the United States of America and our Constitution.

George Soros is a mean-spirited hate-monger. Take some time to learn about this man.

So, contact your senators and congressmen and women, and DEMAND THAT THE BUSH TAX CUTS BE KEPT IN PLACE ACROSS THE BOARD, AND THAT THEY BE MADE PERMANENT.

Then, get involved in the politics of our country because, if you don’t, you will lose your freedoms.

Don’t be a part of the problem….be part of the solution.

Have you had a chance to read about the tax break the US government is giving to General Motors?

The tax break is to the tune of 45 BILLION DOLLARS.

That’s right, $45,000,000,000.00.

That means that other car companies are facing a tax burden that is totally off the wall.

As you recall, Government Motors…oops, General Motors….was saved from bankruptcy by Barack hussein Obama by executive fiat.

The reason GM is bankrupt is that the unions have a CRUSHING DEBT as regards pension funds and health care benefits that the unions cannot fulfill due to the mismanagement of those funds.

BhO stole GM from the stockholders and bondholders of GM, preventing them from getting their money back via bankruptcy proceedings which should have occurred as part of the legal mechanism that protects investors during a bankruptcy.  There would have been a re-organization of GM, and this would have led to the unions’ having to explain to their members why they were going to be fired and/or lose many of their benefits.

In the manner of a good marxist, beholden to the labor unions who are also under marxist/communist control, BhO declared GM to be under the “protection” of the federal government, and RE-DISTRIBUTED GM TO THE UNIONS, specifically to the United Auto Workers and their affiliates.

The legitimate stock and bond holders were completely, irrevocably screwed by this illegal maneuver;   now the American taxpayer will be screwed.

This is the type of activity you see with two-bit South American dictators, a la Hugo Chavez.

GM, which plans to begin promoting its relisting on the stock exchange to investors this week, wiped out billions of dollars in debt, laid off thousands of employees and jettisoned money-losing brands during its U.S.-funded reorganization last year.

Now it turns out, according to documents filed with federal regulators, the revamping left the car maker with another boost as it prepares to return to the stock market. It won’t have to pay $45.4 billion in taxes on future profits.

The tax benefit stems from so-called tax-loss carry-forwards and other provisions, which allow companies to use losses in prior years and costs related to pensions and other expenses to shield profits from U.S. taxes for up to 20 years. In GM’s case, the losses stem from years prior to when GM entered bankruptcy.

Usually, companies that undergo a significant change in ownership risk having major restrictions put on their tax benefits. The U.S. bailout of GM, in which the Treasury took a 61% stake in the company, ordinarily would have resulted in GM having such limits put on its tax benefits, according to tax experts.

But the federal government, in a little-noticed ruling last year, decided that companies that received U.S. bailout money under the Troubled Asset Relief Program won’t fall under that rule.

Neal Boudette discusses GM’s IPO plans, which will raise up to $10 billion and cut the government’s stake to below 50%.

“The Internal Revenue Service has decided that the government’s involvement with these companies, both its acquisitions plus its disposals of their stock, means they should be exempt” from the rule, said Robert Willens, a New York tax consultant who advises investment banks and hedge funds.

The government’s rationale, said people familiar with the situation, is that the profit-shielding tax credit makes the bailed-out companies more attractive to investors, and that the value of the benefit is greater than the lost tax payments, especially since the tax payments would not exist if the companies fail.

GM declined to comment.

The $45.4 billion in future tax savings consist of $18.9 billion in carry-forwards based on past losses, according to GM’s pre-IPO public disclosure. The other tax savings are related to costs such as pensions and other post-retirement benefits, and property, plants and equipment.

Investors typically view tax-loss carry-forwards losses as important assets in bolstering a company’s balance sheet.

GM’s chief domestic rival, Ford Motor Co., last year adopted a plan to preserve deferred “tax assets” which stood at $17 billion at the end of 2009. Ford can use the tax attributes in certain circumstances to reduce its federal tax liability. Ford declined to comment on the GM tax ruling.
